Sometimes when you think you have clogged drains, it may just be a toilet stoppage and our plumbers or the homeowner can use a plunger to unstop it. If a plunger does not completely work, you might have an object stopping the water flow through the pipes. You can do it yourself by following this simple procedure. #1 you turn off the water to the toilet to stop it from overflowing. #2 if the water has seeped out of the toilet carefully add more water to the toilet bowl. #3 we do not recommend you use chemicals, they usually wont clear a toilet stoppage. Place the plunger into the clogged toilet and cover the drain hole. #4 you push the plunger down to create suction, and then sharply pull the plunger up, but not enough to break the suction. Do this a few times.
If you try the above steps a few times without success it may be time to contact a licensed plumber.
There are small holes in the rim of the toilet bowl which allow water to enter when the toilet is flushed. Sometimes you might think you have clogged drains when a toilet is not flushing well, (Only when not completely clogged), our plumbers can fix this by cleaning out the holes the water comes down into the bowl thru. The best tool for cleaning out these holes is a small screw. Mineral deposits from the water build up in these holes, slowing down the flow of water, or worse causing the water to NOT flow out in a circular motion. The circular flow of the water is what helps the toilet to flush completely. As you rod out these holes under the rim where the seat sits, flush the toilet a couple of times to help wash out the minerals you break loose.
If you try the above steps a few times without success, it may be time to contact a licensed plumber.
