How to Reset a Garbage Disposal
If your disposal hangs up sometimes you can re-set the disposal with a supplied tool that usually is supplied by the disposal manufacturer. If you don't have the tool a 1/4 Allen wrench will fit most disposals. You insert the wrench at the bottom of the disposal and turn it back and forth to free up the disposal. Then push the reset button and see if the disposal will work.
